In the wake of the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake and the flooding that followed, residents of Noroshi confront the immense task of rebuilding not just homes, but their sense of community. Led by NPO initiative Home for All, locals and volunteers join hands to build more than a structure: a new beginning and a sense of hope for the future.
Initiated in response to the Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011, Home for All began as an effort by architects to build community centers in disaster-affected areas. Following the 2024 earthquake, the project was re-launched in Noroshi, the northernmost town of the Noto Peninsula. This film follows the process of building a community center and the bonds that emerge among the local people along the way.
